Chill Factor. A Day Out With Blogs Up North

We had an amazing time on Saturday at our first ever Blogs Up North event. After finally plucking up the courage to go to one and meet everyone, I couldn't of picked a better one to go to. We were invited to go to the Chill Factor e which is just down the road from where we live. As soon as we arrived I was made to feel welcome and met bloggers who I follow and read on a regular basis! It felt a bit surreal! We went to the Chill Factor a few years ago when it first opened and Megan was quite small. It was good fun, but we found the snow play area a bit uninspiring then, but not now! It has been revamped and totally for the better! The snow play area now has a mini sledging slide and a new carousel and the snow was easier to make snowballs, which Ben and I had great fun doing!

All kitted out and ready to play!

When we arrived we were kitted out in all the gear, snow trousers, ski jackets and snow boots. The little ones went straight into the snow play and got stuck in. Ben loved it. He didn't know where to start, but headed to the mini sledging area where we all had a great time and us biggies enjoyed it too!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
On your marks...
Climbing around the snow!

Megan headed off with a group of older children and I was very grateful to Susanne for taking her under her wing and keeping an eye on her for me.

Ready to hit the slopes!
They started doing some sledging and it looked like it was great fun as they were whizzing down super fast! This was followed by tubing, where you sit in a big ring and slide down the tubes. Megan had a couple of goes on this but preferred the sledging so went back for another go on this!

Meanwhile, Ben and I moved onto the sledging area and had great fun there. Emily, one of the PR girls who were looking after us was a star and took Ben down a few times for me. She also kept an eye on Megan for me and came over a couple of times to reassure me that she was having fun!

Back in snow play, Ben enjoyed the carousel. It was a lovely, gentle ride, really suitable for little ones. After about an hour and a half we were all getting chilled so headed back to get changed and we were then treated to pizza and chips! Just what we needed after all that play!

We had such a great day out and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit there.
