February Half Term Fun!

I can't believe that half term has been and gone already!
We had a busy week, which started off last Sunday with a trip to the Kids AM showing at the cinema.

All ready to watch the film.

On Wednesday I was looking after all the children so we wrapped up and headed off to the park ater lunch, stopping for a bit of tree climbing on the way!

Grace was being Meg's baby!
Can you spot M, B and J?????

Climbing fun!

Bath time with Daddy and silly faces!

A trip to X Factor for me and Megs with Jack and his cousins! It was fab! We had really good seats, right at the front, opposite the second stage and the kids (and us) had perfect views. They were all really good, but Rough Copy were amazing!

To end our busy week we went to the Caravan and Camping Show at the NEC in Birmingham. As well as looking for our dream tent and caravan, Megan and Ben tackled an assault course too!

Inside a retro caravan from 1978 - note the beautiful decor!!!

Carcraft and Lego Challenge

Carcarft has come up with a great idea for bloggers to have a play and come up with their own lego scene.
With that in mind we were sent the Lego Diving Boat kit to construct and play with.

Ben, eager to get stuck in!

The first fun part was building the set. Megs is an expert and this now and Ben is getting the idea, so Mr W didn't have much to do!

Getting started.
Careful construction.

Making it look easy to do!

Once that was done, Megan and Ben got on with the fun part of playing!
They came up with an idea of searching for buried treasure that had been lost at sea and sent a happy hour diving to find the treasure (spare pieces of lego!)

The boat came off and got floated around and created a lot of fun.

Searching and diving.

Carcraft are:

  • With 11 SHOWROOMS NATIONWIDE
  • Why not take a look and see if anything takes your fancy???

A Day Out At South Lakes Wild Animal Park

Last week we headed off to the South Lakes Wild Animal Park in Barrow in Furness. We were really lucky with the weather, although it was cold we missed showers so that was good. We had a great time, seeing all sorts of animals, rhinos, giraffes, lions, tigers, penguins, emus, monkeys to name just a few. We had a ride on the train and warmed up after with hot chocolate or ice cream in Bens case!

Megan really listened carefully to the talks about all the conservation that the park does and was really shocked when we put into perspective how few tigers are left in the wild and how some types are extinct and will never return.

Here are just a few pics from our fun!

Amy Russell Photography Review

A few weeks ago I was very lucky to be contacted by the very lovely Amy Russell of Amy Russell Photography.
Amy is a local to me photographer, who lives in Bolton and has a studio in her house. She takes photographs of lots of different occasions, such as portraits, weddings and corporate events.
We were invited to a photo shoot and went along one Sunday afternoon all ready for Amy to work her magic, and work her magic she did!
I was having pictures of Megan and Ben taken and Amy was really friendly, helping them to relax and get the best out of the session. Ben wasn't in the best of moods so he was being quite uncooperative to say the least. Amy was great at trying to make him laugh and get him in a better mood and subsequently got some amazing shots.
We ended up with pictures of both of them together and pictures of them by themselves too.
We left with the promise of Amy sorting the photos into an album for me to view on Facebook.
A couple of days later Amy posted these into a private album for me to view and I was blown away. They were amazing. She had captured them just so and I had the hard job of picking the ones I wanted.
I eventually decided on these two and they arrived today. I think they are just perfect! The first one captures the love between Megan and Ben and the second of Megan is simply stunning. (Although i am a touch biased, so let me know what you think.)

If you have a special event coming up or just want to capture those moments that pass all too fast, then this is the lady to speak to.

You can contact her on her Facebook page or through her website and check out her special offers here too.

Amy has a special offer for Mothers Day......

An offer for anyone who has just had a baby or is currently pregnant......

And an adventure for half term next week........

We were offered the photo shoot and two prints in exchange for my review.  All opinions are my own.
