Yesterday turned into a very busy day. I had booked tickets for the three of us to go and see Despicable Me 2 at the cinema as it was being shown for £1 each as the movies for juniors showing.
It was great, both M and B loved it and so did I. It is so rare that I get an opportunity to sit and watch a film the full way through that I really enjoyed this.
In the afternoon we were going to the Lowry theatre to see The Snail and The Whale as we had got last minute complimentary tickets. One of Megans friends had come for a play, so she came too. It is a while since we have been to the Lowry, even though it is only about half an hour away, so we set off in good time. Good job we did, as traffic was bad. The theatre was packed, really full of preschoolers and school aged children on holiday. The show was fantastic. I was wondering how it would be performed, but it was amazing. I will post a full review soon.
Welcome to my blog. Thank you for popping by. Emma's Little World is a blog of our family life and what we get up to. I hope you enjoy reading it.

A Busy Day

Crazy Golf
We had a lovely afternoon at the Paradise Adventure Golf at the Trafford Centre. I found a BOGOF voucher in the primary times magazine, so we used that.
We haven't been for a while, and we went the 'upstairs' route, which was great.
Both Megan and Ben really enjoyed it, although they were getting a bit competitive for my liking!

All About Me!
I have been tagged by the lovely My Mills Baby in this meme - All About Me!
I haven't done one of these for ages so I was looking forward to giving this a go.
10 questions, so can't be too hard, can it?????
1. First off, tell us your name.......
I can do this one! Emma Louise Wright. I used to be a Thomson and sometimes forget that I am not anymore, even though I have been married for 9 years. Still not changed my name on Facebook though, I really must get round to that!
2. I live at home with........
Well the short version is - there is me, him, them and the others!
The slightly longer version is my hubby, Martin or Mr W as he is known on here. We have been married 9 years in the May just gone (I keep reminding him it is 10 years next year - have got my eye on an eternity ring!) and been together a lot longer. Then there is Megan, my gorgeous girl who is 8! And my cheeky monkey, Ben who is 4! Jake, our getting on a bit, ginger cat also has his place here, along with a delinquent rabbit, Betsey, who is actually a boy! We live, happily, in our small, cramped full of toys house. But hopefully that might all be changing soon as we are really hoping to get an extension built next year....fingers crossed.....
3. My favourite thing to do is.........
Now that's quite hard.....there are lots of things I like to do, reading, watching the soaps, messing around on social media, eating chocolate, but my favourite thing is probably to spend time with Megan and Ben. They are growing up so fast now that it is lovely to just take time out to be with them, playing, going to the park, having a walk, bike riding, just being with them really.
4. My favourite thing to eat is.......
Pretty much anything!!! Apart from fish. I love food and cooking, and trying out new recipes. I love Greek food, Greek salads, fried saganaki, stuffed vineleaves, chicken souvalaki, lamb kleftiko, beef stiffado and the gorgeous oven roasted potatoes they do.
5. When I get cross I.......
Depends on who it is with. With Mr W, I like to have the last word and can be very cool and sartastic. If it is with the children, I e=tend to go into teacher mode, the teacher voice comes out and I repeat whatever it is S-L-O-W-L-Y. If that doesn't work, I *may* shout!
6. Sometimes I worry about........
Everything! I am the worlds worse worrier. I worry about silly things and things I have no control over. I often have to make a conscious effort to not think about things or worry about them.
But mainly I worry about Megan and Ben, the world in which they are growing up into, and worry that I am doing a good job of equipping them for real life so they will become happy, confident adults.
7. My favourite book is......
As I love reading, it is so hard to pick! I do however love the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. They do make me laugh out loud and I re read them again and again.
8. My favourite toy is......(Keep it clean now!)
Probably my phone. It is an Android HTC sensation XL and I love the fact that I can do everything on it. I have apps for my blog, facebook, twitter, my facebook page and lots more.
I would love an IPad though, that would be my best toy ever!
9. I dislike.......
Ironing and hardly ever do any. Unless I really have to. And then I do it as quick as possible.
I also dislike being unprepared, I hate not knowing what is happening. I am a big planner and love to be in control!
10. When I grow up I want to be........
That's hard! I just want to be happy and do the best possible job I can of bringing up Megan and Ben so they are happy too. I wouldn't mind being rich too, so winning the lottery would be fab!
Now it's your turn to give us the lowdown on you!!!
So I am tagging.......

An Autumn stroll, a spot of geocaching and a sweetie shop!
Last Sunday we went to one of our favourite places for a walk. Lymm Dam. It is so lovely there, no matter what time of the year we go.
Ben had his flu injection first thing so we got organised, ready to go straight after. He was very brave, bless him and the chocolate biscuit he was offered after helped I'm sure!
As the queue was so long at the doctors, by the time we came out it was nearly lunchtime.
We got to Lymm Dam and the first thing we did was feed the ducks. Whilst we were down next to the Dam we found lots of conkers so my pockets got loaded up this them! We then wandered up the right side of the Dam. The autumn sunshine was peeping through the trees and casting beautiful shadows around us. On our way we found a bird carved into a tree and also spotted this face! We found a bench and had our picnic, well wrapped up as it was quite chilly.
Megan and Ben had a great time balancing on fallen logs and jumping through the leaves.
Mr W had checked for any geocaches before we left, and we couldn't get an exact location on one but the other appeared to be down a narrow tunnel, right on the waters edge. It looked very dark and wet, but Mr W had brought his head light so he went in whilst we waited outside! It was quite a way in, and apparently there were lots of spiders and webs and very wet! He found it though and signed the log book. We took a couple of pictures while he was in there, and you can just make out his light when he was down the tunnel!
After all that excitement we carried on round and headed up towards to top of the Dam.
There are some huge, sand stone rocks, natural formations, that the children had a play on and then were stained red from the rocks!
We strolled back to the car and drove into Lymm village to the sweetie shop!
